I went to college today, and I got my first chance to see the new computer labs in LG12. Fantastic. Magse beat me at netris repeatedly.
I watched Singin’ In The Rain again this evening. It is clearly > *
I woke up this morning at 7:30am with a slight cough. It was a little bit damp outside, but it was bright and sunny. When I got to work, Jenny (my crime-fighting buddy) said that there was a storm brewing. Apparently there was a big storm in Ireland and Scotland, heading south through England. Today was also a day for industrial action on the tube, making delays inevitable. At lunch time my throat was getting worse. The sun went in. It got darker and darker. I got sicker and sicker. I had to be in Heathrow airport at 6:00pm to check in for my flight to Dublin. I left work at 4:00pm, with a view to missing the3 rush hour and compensating for any delays that I might incur due to the tube strike.
I got to Heathrow at 5:10pm, feeling sick and with a headache. I have no idea what the weather was like, because I travelled underground (ninja style). Because I had arrived so early, I went to the Aer Lingus desk to see could I get on another flight. The kind lady at the desk tried, but the previous flight was fully booked. When I checked in and got through to the departures gate, my flight had been delayed by almost an hour until 8:40pm. The wind was blowing, and the terminal was shaking. There was a huge plasma screen TV with BBC News 24 on it, which showed the weather. The British Isles were hidden under a big hurricane shaped cloud with the eye somewhere over Wales. There was a further announcement of delays over the loudspeaker, but I could not hear it because of the howling wind and shaking terminal building. The 7:50pm flight to Dublin took off at 10:10pm. I had the flu.
Here is another random email attachment that I got this morning, except this one is actually funny.
The best way to start this week is the have a good look at the Girls With Hearses Project Home Page. It contains lots of interesting girls, and hearses.
Last night I watched Oodishon (The Audition). It scared the bejeesus out of me. I wanted to watch the submarines and the fish on BBC1, but no, Martin wanted to watch the scary film. It was really good.
And this is always a classic (1600KB).
