I went out to the pub last night after work for a pint. I left at closing time and managed to get a bus somehow. I put far too many rounds on my debit card. When I got home I had troubles getting my key into the door, and had to ring the doorbell to get in. Someone had left a key in the lock on the inside, so it wasn’t my fault!

At 8:34 this morning I was rudely awoken by the doorbell. Amazon.co.uk were delivering my new DVDs. Transformers: The Complete Original Series (Deluxe Edition) and Daft Punk - Interstella 5555. The Daft Punk one is brilliant. I watched the Transformers one afterwards, and kept getting distracted by the terrible animation.

Tonight I am going to catalogue my DVD collection.

Since the 14th of December I have mostly been:

  • Flying back to Dublin for christmas. I flew back to Dublin on the 19th of December. It was a friday, an
    d Áine was at her christmas party in work. I gave her a ring when I got in and she was very drunk. When I rang she was walking from the Gresham Hotel (where the party was) to the Westbury to collect the keys to her new house. She was telling my about all the people that I could hear in the background, and how they were on the dancefloor. By dancefloor she meant pavement. Or something.
  • Shopping. I bought all of my christmas presents in Dublin this year, to avoid paying sterling prices, and having to carry stuff back on the aeroplane. My brother got a bunch of books on SQL and MySQL to teach him how to be smort. My parents got two books; 100 of the World’s Best Houses and Another 100 of the World’s Best Houses. I knew that this years yield of gifts would be poor, so I bought myself some games; Hidden and Dangerous 2, Battlefield 1942 and Command & Conquer Generals.
  • Spinning I went to Funderland, for the first time in years. It really is as dirty as I remember. The magic carpet is still lots of fun. The man on the waltzer spun myself and Áine so fast that we almost imploded.
